Ian Perry is a multi-instrumentalist who has trianed in classical and jazz theory for over 10 years. An experienced session musician, Ian enjoys adding his touch to any project that will have him, as a guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboardist and vocalist.
His years of formal training across multiple genres make him a very versatile and proficient player.
Producer/Engineer
Under the production alias “Piri”, Ian has engineered and produced countless projects for local artists across multiple genres including Rap, Rock, Indie, Folk, R&B and Pop. A skilled engineer, he is very comfortable in a professional studio environment can run complex sessions with ease, and his years of musical training equip him with amazing composition and production skills.
His production style has been described as having a unique signature sound that is easily identifiable. Whether it be live instrumentation recorded by traditional analog methods, or digital in the box production, you can always identify the unique Ian Perry sound.
Songwriter/Performer
In 2016 Ian released an EP of five orignal songs called “4x5”. He performed those songs along with other unreleased originals at various venues all over Vancouver Island and the BC Lower Mainland. He has built up an impressive resume of live performaces including the CLosing Ceremonies of the 2014 BC Summer Games, the David Foster miricale weekend, as an opening act for classic 80’s band “Loverboy”.
His blend of musical genres and playing styles make him an incredibly captivating performer to watch on stage
